自己當contractor並不是不用進行tax withhold 而必須依照規定file 1040ES (estimated tax) 否則會被罰錢很多新人房地產agent搞不清楚這點造成幾年後被IRS罰很多錢 (前提是他是個成功的agent 有正常的收入)據我所知台灣的稅法比美國簡單許多而且政府直接用軟體幫你算已經全部電子化所以幾乎不可能出錯或有解讀上的誤差所以不太可能需要主動退稅給繳稅者

Hey Benji,Your boyfriend is wroikng on a deficit reduction package. When I first heard about it I thought it was a good thing he’s now finally bowing to the Tea Party instead of some worthless dictator. However, it’s becoming clear he’s going to try to raise taxes on the “wealthy”and some piddly other crap. Will there be a hue and cry from Benji in the same way he goes after Paul Ryan?Betting not. Paul-I like your use of the word “parasite.” Che is Dead is using it more too. I think I popularized the word on this site.I am glad Paul Ryan has a hanlde on things. We can hope the employment figs at the federal agenices shown go into sudden contraction. Of course, many of the largest agenices have employees in Ryan-land. We will see if he has the “guts for cuts” when he is Prezzy in 2012. Did I just predict a Ryam prezzy in 2012. Yes I did. “Guts for cuts”: I made that up just now. Not bad, eh? However, with the Accounting software packages being as cheap as they are (you can get a basic bookkeeping package from Quickbooks for $70), it is certainly much easier to keep track of all your expenses and income. At year end, you simply print out yoru Profit and Loss statement which is ready to use in your tax return.With a bit of training, you can do your own bookkeeping if that is what you choose to do.
